So I looked at the Halycon PRIMUS entry, their sort of our main "Rivals" in the sense their a teen group.. but granted their doing the exact opposite theme we are.. since ours is "Unsupervised" Teen Supers..
Still they have a very nice Primus entry and alot of details..
made me wonder if we should do the same, maybe write some stuff up, go into detail alittle more about What the "Prodigies" Goals are, and it's theme and it's resources alittle more.

Of course we should do that.
There's no question.
But we need to sit down and actually write out those goals and details as a group.

Wow. They've put a lot of effort into that page. We should definitely have something like that.
And ICly from Boots: "Frickin' snot-nosed private school kids..."

I could see us getting a friendly rivalry with them.. Since we are playing the Kids who don't have the benefits of a Private school.. the one's just to independant to go to one, and don't trust mentors as much. Sounds like we should start writing some things up though.. I have a few ideas, I'll write them up and post them on here, and we can go from there.

Sounds like we need to organize an IC Ballroom Blitz.

You know, the more and more I hear people talking about the SG... It reminds me of X-Men Evolutions. We're kind of turning into the Brotherhood of Mutants to Halcyon's X-Men over here.
For some reason, everyone assumes that because we're teenagers, we should be wreckless, poor, dirty slobs who are also basically homeless except for the 'flop'.
A ballroom blitz? Are we going to crash their high society party with our street-kids?
There's a difference in not believing you need a mentor to watch over you VS "Screw authority, lets just paint the town red!" like I'm seeing.
Think of the Titans. They were unsupervised teenagers. But they had nice things, didn't live out of a cardboard box and didn't go out picking rivalries between other supergroups just because of their differences.
Not saying I wouldn't support a little rivalry if it occured and I'm certainly not talking down on the SG at all, I like you guys. It just seems like most people are looking at teens and thinking in sheer stereotypes.

Wait, seriously? Were looked at as the Brotherhood?
I view us much more as the Titans, but I do see the gamut.. some of us are more Unruly then the others..
Honestly Ego is very much like Nightwing in the sense.. he realised he didn't need his "Batman" anymore.. and maybe he's even alittle angry over the relationship... And he's proving he can save the world, without adult supervision..
I see the prodigy as being alittle rebellious but ultimately responsible.

Well, not badguys exactly, but... Think of the show, where they're all hanging out just to do it, slobs in a rundown old building, basically everyone out for themselves. Ignore the whole badguy part.

Not an outright attack on them obviously - homie don't play dat. I could see differing viewpoints ending in a fight if this would happen. Obviously, the only way we'd crash their party is if they crashed "ours" first.

I see the rivalry as simply arising because they're a different group. I know it sounds simplistic, and that's because it is. That's often how it goes with youth social dynamics. There's no real logic to it, and being "bad guys" doesn't have to factor into it at all. It's a school rivalry thing... except we aren't a school and they are.
But regardless, the presence of another established teen group is a potential gold mine for some good RP in my opinion.

Well they do have their "rave" coming up. So it could certainly be a natural jumping off point for getting the two groups introduced and interacting.

Obviously, the only way we'd crash their party is if they crashed "ours" first. So there's a party at 6 then? Or should we be really edgey and make it at 6:45? I agree that there's room for us to look like the Brotherhood more than the Teen Titans if we're not careful. I've always seen The Shamrock as ~wanting~ a mentor but fate just didnt' let her have one. So she's making due with other people her age to find her place in the world. And not end up dead. This might sound odd but OOC I see room for a type of Alliance with Halycon. A little bit of "if we see people for you and if you see people for us agreement" coupled with trying to keep each other informed of various story lines. The fact that we are bending the rules that they follow create lots of good tension without rising to the level of Killing vs Non-killing. Shamrock

Well...this is fun. I signed up for your boards to send a friendly message to you all! I'm from Halcyon Academy and head of Outreach. Of course you're all welcome to the Rave and to form rivalries with us. OOC'ly I'm sure our leaders would be glad to have a sort of alliance. Also, if it can be figured out how to fit ICly we do have a "coalition" type channel for young & teenage heroes. Of course, the mentors in both attached Sgs (Halcyon Academy and WISH) also have access to it.
