Please just reply if it's an 'other' response. The discussion on the subject is in another thread.

I put Other.
Thing is I don't want to use the Televeison rating system to describe what could appear in SG chat.
I'd rather go with what could appear in a Comic Book. Modern Comics allow certain subject matter to appear that would be considered to risque for Television while at the same time, still also don't slip into the realm of F-bomb,Rapeplay,Snuffilm, central.
I'm also leaning toward a Case-by-case basis. I'd rather like to keep it open and just let someone know OOC wise when their stepping over a line of comfort for other players, while also excercising common sense. Common Sense, don't make this the NC-17 DocuDrama "Kids".

I said PG-13, however I see that as a guideline more than a rule. We're all adult (players) so we should be able to talk about this like adults. There isn't a real need for anyone in our group to graphically describe the rush of shooting up, and there isn't a need for anyone in our group to be blowwing a hissy fit over two characters kissing.
In the end, the concept of "we're supposed to get along" should trump people's need to keep the tone lighter than an NC17 movie, as well as the need for people to 'be true to whatever they want to play'.
We're a Super Group, not general Champions RP chat. In theory we should, as players, be working towards being friends, far more than anything else. Because it's the friendships that come from guilds/ SG's that build the trust to share storylines and the sense of community that keeps us logging in.

I put Other, and I think Ego summed up nicely. If you really want to classify the level I think it should be at, it wouldn't be PG-13 like Ego explained. It would push it just a touch further. However, certainly NOT NC-17 and I would say not even R. I think the big thing is that content should never be gratuitous. If something is going to push the envelope slightly then there needs to be a respectful reason why.

Case by case IC basis.
For example it would not make sense for Wreck to talk about excessive violence for he is mostly a comical character, whereas a more gritty teen character might have had to deal with such things and thus would make more sense for him to talk about it.
So long as we all agree on what goes in chat I'm okay with it.

Other, lets stick by the non max style of comic's. But hard and fast rules are a bad idea on this.

Voted for IC case by case but agree that if someone wants to push the envelope there needs to be a good reason with a clear idea of where they are going with it. Maybe run by the officers oocly first ?
