Hey guys, for the next Outreach event I've got a few ideas. Just wondering if any of them seem interesting or if people have other thoughts/suggestions.
A scavenger hunt: Teams of 3 ( Smaller groups to encourage closer RP) have to gather several items from Desert/Canada/Millenium. Proof would be through either (1) locating a person (maybe Host Club/anyone who wants to join Outreach could help with that) or (2) [easier] screenshots of certain places/items/standing over certain bosses.
Field Day: ICly would occur in the danger room. Teams of 5 register a name and run through an instance. Was going to make it like...whoever finished fastest, but that limits RP so any ideas on how to 'judge' who wins would be cool. Maybe best screenshot taken during it?
Craft Fair: Craftmasters (400) register 'tables' to make items for anyone who feels like coming by. Probably best used for handing out devices, emptying some of the massive mats in the SG bank.
Roof-Top Rave: Occuring somewhere that ground based characters could still get to. Just another dance/gathering for us all.

I like the field/trip danger room idea. Especially if the teams are mixed up. Give everyone a chance to work together a bit and show off a little. Also good for people with characters that aren't into parties.

I suggested last night in game, a Masquerade party. The people there seemed to like the idea. I figured I should add that to the list here since it's already been put up over at the Halcyon forums.

I've been kicking around the idea of a Poker Run/Hide n Seek.
The idea being that the "hiders" would leave a clue to where they will be and it is up to the "seekers" to decipher the clues to find them.
For example a clue could be "The first rule of this place is you do not talk about it. ((Instance 3))"
This is obviously a reference to Fight Club. So there would be a member of The Prodigy waiting at the entrance (or talking to Burt Jackson) to give the next clue to where they should go to find the next hider.
To make it a poker run, when a team arrives they get a card from a poker deck. This could be done a couple ways: - One member of prodigy has a deck of standard 52 poker cards and keeps track of cards given out. When the seekers arrive they are told what card they get. - a virtual table top program could be used to either simulate cards being dealt or by using virtual dice of a D4 (to determine suit) and a D12 (D13 would be better) (to determine rank of card).
In the end, what ever team is dealt the best poker hand wins. Of course at the end every one wins because they would end up at where ever the party/rave is.
And I have a ton of different ideas for clues and places to hide. We would also probably want a channel to make announcements like when hiders go link dead or when a team has made it to the end and what cards they have or when we just want everyone at the party because we are done being sought after.

Social type mixers are always a fun idea. The idea of a masquerade party is pretty fun, allows there to be some atmosphere without repeating the last time around. The idea of putting some sort of a game/hunt in there as well is cool, but I wonder if the organization aspect might defeat us. Still, barring that. Could make for a memorable time. Location based clue hunts are super fun.

This is the season for Sadie Hawkin's dances, where the girls have to ask the guys. Given that it's a little harder to simulate 'asking someone to the dance' in game, it could just be a night of 'lady's choice' dancing.

I think it's a terrifying thought to have Vy "choose" someone...
